I’m ChocolateMoo53 (it is pronounced Chocolate Moose). I write about technology, along with other topics, run some privacy services, and tinker with servers.

Currently, I run an Invidious and SearXNG instances. It started as a small part of the other private things I had for myself. When I saw the other public instances, I couldn’t wait to make my own. I wrapped these services in my own branding soon after starting the Docker container and now run a fairly large operation with over 1000 users!

Cloud gaming has been part of my interests for a long time. I used Shadow, when it was only $15 a month and I would use it heavily. Of course, when I struggled to run things due to aging hardware, I moved on to building my own, making a forked PowerShell script to get the system just right. I still update it to this day!

While this is all tech-focused, a part of me is also creative and artistic in different ways. I have since pursued the arts with graphic design and as you can see, web design. For example, I designed my logo and I came up with my general branding guidelines. The Moose in my logo is part of a larger illustration made for me that I worked on to make the final product I use today. With lots of heavy lifting from many other elements, I translated my general branding for my Invidious instance and a few other services I host. Beyond what you see here, I have made many websites and many designs. It is just a part of my life.

So, when I can, I write about tech stuff, design thoughts, maybe some music or movie tangents when something interesting comes up. Of course, I hope you can find my instances useful too!
