New: a European server (in testing)

Oct 31, 2026

There’s now a second server in France for people in Europe and nearby:

It uses the same accounts, subscriptions and playlists as the main site, so you can switch between them anytime without signing up again.

Some expectations:

It’s an extra option, not a replacement.
It’s smaller. It’s mainly meant for people who live close to it and would get faster responses. If that’s not you, the main site or one of the other instances will serve you just as well.
Saving things can take a moment longer, like subscribing or editing a playlist. Watching and browsing aren’t affected.
It’s still new. Some videos might fail on one server and work on the other. If something doesn’t work, try the main site.
Most outages come from YouTube’s side, so they usually hit both servers.

If you’re in Europe, give it a try, use whichever feels better, and let me know how it goes through the feedback form or social media.
