Services
I currently host a variety of “privacy services” which are like proxies for these individual services, but with their own account system or other similar benefits over the alternatives.
Invidious
This is YouTube, but, focused on privacy. You can make an account and keep track of playlists, subscriptions, and watch history. Or not, up to you.
SearXNG
Have you ever used Google and found it to give wrong results or something? I was annoyed by the overviews replacing the actual links to content. Plus, I wanted to use Google less, so it only made sense to instead use my own personal search engine.
Skylib
I post updates to my PDS on Bluesky. However, lots of people don’t want to make an account for social media, and if you want to keep up to date with the status of the things I do, you’d miss out because you don’t have a Bluesky account. Currently, there is some wording talking about “signups” but that isn’t supported yet. However, there is a real database attached in case there ever is the ability to register. Otherwise, it’s just the “skylib” app but I host it.
